I would say no or at least not on purpose. If I did though it would be because I had problems otherwise and would let go off the bad energy that way.
I think this guy has some problems in his life he´s not talking about. That could either be his work or his happiness or maybe also be a problem in their relationship but it´s generally speaking a sign of a problem.
