Do you think it’s messed up for someone to be on dating apps less than 3 weeks after their fiancé died?

Question

I know someone whose fiancé recently died. They were literally getting married this summer. I think they were together for 6 years, if not more. She had 2 kids with him and he also raised her daughter from a previous relationship.

Someone told me she’s already talking to guys on dating apps. It’s been less than 3 weeks since he died.
I think that’s so strange….😬

I mean everyone grieves differently so I guess I would understand if she’s feeling lonely and the attention is making her feel better. Or from what I’ve seen they didn’t have the healthiest relationship so maybe moving on is something she’s been thinking about for a while..
But i have no idea, I guess it’s none of my business 😳

If you got the story from this website there is a troll who writes 40 pages or more of fake stories every day under dozens or hundreds of troll accounts. She is trying to make somebody else look bad, somebody who has never had sex that she keeps telling people has two baby daddies with strangers and was in two abusive relationships.

Most people think the stories are fake which is why so few people respond when she posts her lies. Cause if people believed them - they would respond, just like any normal person would buy a hot dog if they saw a starving kid on their door step. People think is a lie cause there are dozens of stories every day and nobody would have time to work or cook or do anything at all if they spent that much time talking about fake problems online.

Well let see here, several things to consider; relationship wasn't in good terms, fiancés were getting married this year, grieving process takes time when you truelly love your partner, if you get over grieving in 3 weeks and ready to mingle with then my guess is she wasn't at all happy with the man she thought she loved once- she only wanted to married him bc of the kids so she had to say yes as not to cause any issues with him and the kids as it would be a messy situation if she was to leave him.
Soooo... no its not messed up to go and check out a dating app after her fiance passed away 3wks ago. That's happened to many woman who aren't happy with their significant other, sad but true. My own opinion

The loneliness and emptiness can be crushing. My fiancée died this year and I have spoken to women online, but I know it's too soon to meet IRL, but in the absence of hearing her sparkling laugh I can't stand to listen to the silence constantly.

If it was a death a long time coming. Sometimes you already go though all the stages of grief and even say goodbye to one another "just in case." If that's the case, I suppose it isn't the strangest thing I've heard of.

I think it sounds messed up, but I also don’t know the situation. Like someone else said, everyone grieves differently. It may be that she doesn’t have that much social support. I would consider it unusual considering the time frame.

Yeah it's highly fucked up. I try not to judge but in this case I'm judging. I don't care if they weren't on good terms before he died, it's just not respectful. And they have kids together which makes it even worse. I know people grieve in different ways but good Lord give it at least a few months. Less than 3 weeks?

Its not normal, but a lot of people grieve in different ways. This way is toxic because it could mean she is looking for something to distract her from truly grieving. She could be avoiding dealing with the loss because it hurts too much.

People do strange things when heavily grieving. But yeah I do think it’s a little messed up. Even if I just broke up with my partner, I wouldn’t start dating again for at least a year, let alone if my partner died… that’s an awful situation.

It seems like some people cannot survive without. One of my neighbors lost his wife of 40 years in May a few years ago. He started dating within weeks, and was remarried before the end of the year.
