Absolutely!!!
I bet if they made cheating illegal, people would think twice before hurting their partners or loved ones.
Now see, I've thought about this many times- for... reasons. It would be a waste of jail space, and tax payers money to put them in jail. No, I propose the following: put it on a database, accessible to the public, of ALL cheaters. Along with any past addresses they lived at, and if known, why they supposedly cheated.
That way we can look them up before investing our time and energy into a potential cheater (if you still want to date them after knowing, that's your risk).
Also, brand them with a tattoo or mark, similar to the "scarlet letter." That way they can be shamed for it!
What? Don't cheat, you won't have to deal with said repercussions: it's that simple.
I agree with this. Would like to expand this branding to all criminals
Yes!
It is emotionally abusive. And it can affect a person for the rest of their life. If manipulating someone into commiting suicide is illegal then so should cheating be. But it depends on the level of cheating ofcorse just like every other crime has their levels.
Thank you for MHO😌
No but they should be disowned by friends and family possibly particularly if you cheat in a marriage.
Should there be a public record similar to sex offender list so people know to socially ostracize them or potentially block them from having good jobs?
obviously i don’t condone cheating, but no. imagine this: someone in an abusive relationship. if the victim tries to get a different partner, the abuser has them arrested for cheating.
I mean being a victim of one crime doesn't exempt you from other unrelated ones. If you get robbed, then murder a puppy, it doesn't exempt you.
No, but I think they should be Shamed.
What about a public record that people can reference?
Yep that's the shaming I'd like. It'd save a lot of time for a lot of people.
I believe it is in some countries.
No, of course not.
