Girls, is it okay if your man’s platonic female friend knows things about him which you don’t?

Depends on the things, but of course.

As much as I want to be my partner's person, there may be things they don't want me to know or aren't comfortable telling me yet.

However, I would like my partner to know they can trust me. So if the origin of this difference is rooted in mistrust, I want to know about that so we can mend that trust, if possible.

If it's just "we both like this thing my girlfriend doesn't find interesting", then brilliant! Have at 'er.

It's normal to have different things in common with different people.

For me personally, no I wouldn't be okay with that being I am his partner and want to build trust as well as bond tj the point were we have each others back. If someone knows my husband better then me we shouldn't be partners.

No, as my partner I expect him to share as much as he’s able to with me. If he’s sharing things with a friend but not me, then I’ll feel as if he doesn’t trust me.

Here’s the thing: You can’t tell someone who they can or cannot be friends with. That’s controlling. Also, it’s impossible to have friends only of the same gender since humans are sociable creatures.
It’s your partner’s responsibility to set boundaries with said friend. If they’re doing something sketchy, you do have the right to voice your concerns and your partner should consider your feelings. That’s when he should cut all ties with said friend.

@Sasha0426 I actually can and is it something very popular in my country France, both men and women are pretty jealous so the whole "not having friend of the other gender" majority of French people my age think the same as me.

Those who have let their partner have friends of others gender have gotten cheated on.

And yes I would cut ties with males friends if I were in a relationship, that's just normal.
