Honestly, the question I would have is what was the white lie and was it worth it? Of course, the answer to any lie would be yes it was worth it but the thing I have learned is to pick your battles. A "small white lie" is questionable whether iy's worth an argument or not unless it is truly going to affect the relationship. Now, if it is sneaking around with someone or just lying about what he was doing because of who he was with, then things like that are worth having discussions about. But overall, he was the one who chose to lie to you, no matter what the lie was and you are not the one at fault. Don't ever let someone make you feel like you are in the wrong when what they are doing is trying to make themself look blameless for their behavior by projecting it on you. He said he knew how you'd react which meant he knew how you'd react before he chose to do whatever he lied about. He did it anyway. He is the one in the wrong here. He should have had a discussion with you about it before doing whatever it was.
A break is a breakup and that’s not a reason to lie. It’s over
