Or is he set in his ways?
By cheater, I mean a man who's spent his whole life being disloyal to other woman... until he finds "the one"... does his track record still make him unreliable? Is cheating a bad habit to break?

I heard a study on the radio about this yesterday that actually broke it downs scientifically with real studies and stuff. A man who cheats can become a loyal partner for a woman that satisfies his needs. And it is possible to turn a cheater into a loyal man.
Most happily married men get a rush of endorphin's when they look at an image of their mate and will actually rate them as being highly attractive or more attractive than other women they may see images of. Over time that bond grows stronger inside the man's brain and the temptation of other women is lesser. I think it has something to do with oxytocin in the brain.
According to the radio I was half listening too... the same is not true for women. A cheating woman is usually not changed EVER. Once broken always broken kind of deal.
This is spot on. Next question
No, he can't and won't. Whatever he's telling you is the same thing he said to all the others. How old is this guy?
24 and he's asked me to marry him
Brought the ring and everything
Dont know if this is relevant but keep in mind I'm a virgin and I dont practice sex before marriage.. despite not getting any sex from me, he isn't creeping around with other women (we have each others location, login details etc)
he says I'm different from other women in the sense that he respects me more
I'm worried that once we marry that allure will break
And then he'll cheat on me like all the other women
(24 turning 25 in 2 days)
I'm 23 going on to 24 this year
We've been dating for 6 months
We also have history since we've known each other since childhood
We weren't close but our families were friends and i saw him here and there
Only became romantic after we reconnected after 10 years
Yes he can but as @mementomori777 mentioned, are you willing to take the risk?
If you ask me, then yes.
Nothing is beyond repair. I'll rather get in relationship and have those beautiful moments and then end up broken by him rather than regretting the fact that there was a chance back then to have a forever relationship. I'm way too optimistic and positive to consider the what ifs.
yep its spinning the wheel with high odds 🙃
@MementoMori777 yeah, you're right.
Nope…
All the women were the ones until they weren’t.

I wouldn't bet on it.
But I did hear some people say the people (not just men) who cheat will be loyal to a person who is truly meant for them - compatible in every way. Although, what are the chances you're that compatible? Depends on your situation I guess, but also remember people change all the time - they get to know themselves better, and what is compatible now may not be down the line.
Very unlikely. If you're being told, "baby, you're the only one for me, I won't ever cheat on you, you mean too much to me" blah blah blah... then it's all bullshit.
If your guy cheats you should dump him and go no contact.
If anyone you are dating has cheated in their past, dump them. Don't get involved with cheaters.
MAYBE. But I certainly wouldn't rely on it. It's much more likely that he'll continue to cheat.
A Leopard Never Changes Its Spots... There's your answer... Period.
Can? Yes. Me could have just chosen not to cheat to begin with.
Will? Unlikely.
I believe they can change. But I wouldn't bethe one waiting to find out.
the real question is would you want to take the risk on that?
I have a friend who is on his 4th wife. He can't keep it in his pants. Cheaters never change.
" His" it should be "Hers" fuckin women cheat way more than men.
He can but it's a very very risky gamble.
People who cheat will always cheat.
Only if she leaves him because he cheated on her.
Why would he , he doesn't have to.
