How to respond and react to a guy who keeps breadcrumbing me?

When I first met him, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. But now I know he's playing mind games, because the breadcrumbing and discarding has became a pattern with him. It's impossible to cut contact due to our situation. But what's the best way forward?

It sounds like a complicated situation. If it is impossible to get out of the situation, there are some things you can do. One of them being, try not to let him see that he's bothering you. People prey off of weakness, even if you aren't weak, if they see what they are doing is bothering you, they will make you a target.

He might be a narcissist. If that's the case, the only way to do anything without leaving the situation is to not take anything he says to heart, spend as much time as possible away from him (Like go to the bathroom as much as possible, take walks, bicycle, go outside, anything where he's not around), and avoid telling him how you feel because it will only make it worse. I know these are really difficult things to do, but your options are limited, and if you don't feel safe, these could help you a little.

Be careful. I'm sure there's more to the story, but just be careful. I lived with a control freak narcissist aunt last year and it almost killed me. I understand how much it messes with your head.

Thank you. This is very helpful. I have realized that he tries to control my behavior and emotions. It's causing me anxiety. It's like he blows and and cold. And he gives me the silent treatment fir reasons only known to him. I just want him out my life fur good ☹️

oh, I understand that. He sounds like a narcissist. If he's trying to control you, humiliate you, and says and gives you the silent treatment, but his reasons are odd, or he doesn't tell you why, yeah, he's definitely a narcissist. Definitely try to get away from him. These people are dangerous, extremely. They are capable of the most horrific things, and they don't care who they hurt.

Hopefully, you are able to get away. I understand it's hard. Trust me! I've been there. You will be a lot, and I mean A LOT happier in the end once you're away from him!

Just move forward. Who cares what he says? People can kind of identify when someone is just running their mouth because they got rejected or whatever. If he’s the type of person who would trash you for not being with him, it’s better to cut him out now. The longer you go on with these kind of weird guys, the more they consider it playing hard to get or leading them on rather than disinterest. A lot of girls get uncomfortable telling a guy there’s zero chance and then the guy gets obsessed because a woman who isn’t saying no could eventually say yes in their mind.

It's never impossible to end contact? Is he your dad? No? Then you can end all contact. And that is the best way forward like it or not. End it cold turkey and NEVER look back. This would be my advice for a guy or a woman.

I work with him too. And I worry in case he turns my work colleagues against me. He's charmed them all. They think highly of him. ☹️

That's definitely Italy but not impossible. Always remember he has a reputation to. You do you, don't worry about what he does. If he tries to bad mouth you the only thing he's going to do long term is ruin his credibility.
I went through this at my job with a woman. She bad mouthed me constantly. Eventually everyone stopped believing her.
