This girl keeps changing her mind on whether we're friends, advice?

I'll try to keep it short--this girl I liked, I thought she liked me (she accepted a date, she said I looked like a stud, she sent me her number without me asking, etc) so I started acting closer and trying to talk to her frequently, then she got cold and didn't want to talk. It took a while, but I got her to explain after a few tries, a LOT of her snubbing my messages, and through completely ticking her off once, she said that she never had interest in me and got cold because she didn't want to give me mixed signals, didn't want to tell me to leave her alone since it would be unkind, and "I could be friends with you but I choose not to because it puts me in an awkward position and leaves you wanting more."

So I say "Thanks for being open and my apologies for the irritation."

Then it gets confusing. She sends me a friend request a week later and acts friendly, and when I ask her why she did that she says "Because it's retarded to say your not friends with someone but still contacting them? Its mixed signals . If it makes you uncomfortable to be my friend then say something ." I didn't reply yet. I went on her wall and on one of the times I ticked her off to get her to reply, she posted "My friendship is a privilege, not a mockery. Remember that next time you look back and wonder why it didn't go forward." She had included the first sentence in her angry message to me that day, so it was absolutely me.

Do any of you girls know what's going on with her? One day she's snubbing me totally. Then she explains how she didn't want to be friends because she saw I wanted her and she felt awkward. Then she says it's dumb to be in contact with someone and not be their friend, and when I look on her wall, she ranted that I was making a mockery of her friendship and that's why it wasn't going forward--when she was snubbing me and not wanting to talk at all.

Usually, I don't tell this to people but dude, you need to move on. You don't have to be rude to her by telling her that you are no longer speaking to her etc. Just stop the communication with her and continue with your life...as simple as that. IF you ever decide to date her in the future (that's a major IF) maybe the time away from her will give her some clarity that yes, you like her but you don't care for her games. As a female, I can't explain all the actions of others but your instinct already knows that this chick is playing a game that you don't want to be involved in. So just because she is playing, doesn't mean you have to participate.

this girl doesn't know what she wants. she may think she likes you one day but then she doesn't want something serious and gets annoyed if you try to get closer. she's wasting your time. sometimes stupid girls see that a guy likes them and will take advantage of the situation. they will use you when they want someone to make them feel better. she knows you like her and will give her the attention she wants. she doesn't want you, she wants you when its convient for her. stop talking to her and you'll save yourself a lot of drama and heartache.

So why are you involved with this girl in the first place? Do you like the drama? Why don't you just leave her alone she obviously isn't well enough to talk to you just leave her alone and save both of you guys the trouble.

She's probably communicating with like 10 to 15 other guys at the same time. I've met lots of girls like this. Just move on. She's a head case. She sounds addicted to the drama of talking to guys and leading them on. She sounds like one of those girls that is incapable of having a long term relationship.
