My boyfriend told me he was going to propose.. and then didn’t?

So me and my boyfriend have been together a year and a half and currently living together.
We had a holiday booked and a week before the holiday we had an argument (about his ex girlfriend) I went back to my family home for a couple of days just to clear my head. During that time we were messaging and he was telling me how sorry he was, how much he loves me etc.
In those messages he said things like ‘I’ve been planning my proposal to you in Greece for a long time’ ‘I can’t wait to get on one knee in Greece’ ‘I still want to propose to you’ etc etc.
It’s our last day here and nothing.

He’s had so many opportunities (we’ve been here 4 weeks). Should I bring it up? If so, how?

It is possible that he went shopping for an engagement ring and realized that he needs to save more money to get you what you would like. And maybe he is going to propose on your last day.

And maybe it was all a lie.

Time will tell. I would wait a few weeks before initiating any conversation on this subject.

He wanted to calm you down after the argument you've been through by telling you what you desire to give attention to. Those who want to be committed to the relationship will not initiate such delusional or empty promises as marriage or propose

I wouldn't bring it up during vacation. I also don't think he's changed his mind but could be that after the argument things been a bit weird and he doesn't feel that is the right time to propose yet. Let the waters calm down for a bit.

I think its something to note but don't bring up. Because that there will tell you all you need to know about him: whether he'll basically say whatever it takes to get what he wants and then won't do it/care enough to follow through.
