Her birthday coincides with a family member's death anniversary. Is it weird?

I recently met this girl on Bumble. She seems awesome and we've really been getting along. But I just found out that her birthday coincides with my grandfather's death anniversary. He passed away just last year so it's quite recent. I've been feeling a little weird about it now that I got to know this but I also don't want to give up the chance to be with this girl. Is it too weird? I also have a habit to think too far into the future and that made me wonder how weird it could get if things get serious with her and I introduce her to my family. I'd really appreciate some guidance here.

It's incredibly weird... incredibly that you're TRYING to make it weird. It's an absolute guarantee that no one will ever look at it as anything more than a coincidence (assuming the relationship manages to survive into the future).

That’s sad for you, but don’t think that much into it. The girl didn’t choose her birthday, and it won’t change who she is as a person at all. You don’t have to make it a thing.

Yeah I know. Of course it's not her fault in any possible way and it doesn't define her either. It just feels a bit weird.

Yeah I get that is weird, but you could also think of it as a positive thing if she turns out to be special. You know, you lost a person important to you, but gained another great person in your life that in some way, is connected to your grandpa. That’s kinda nice.

sorry for your loss. is this a dealbreaker for you? you cannot expect events to not run into other events. while it can be hard, these things are out of your control and it's unrealistic. that is just life

It's not a deal-breaker.. It's just something I never ever imagined in my whole life.. It just feels a little weird
