Me 58M met a wonderful, kind, pretty woman 50F who's husband died many years ago. She's not one to sleep around, she's really kind, caring, loving and has lots of friends. I suggested friends with benefits as I don't do commitment and at first she wasn't keen, then she said perhaps it would be a good idea as nobody could ever compare to her late husband and she wouldn't have to pretend to me.
To my shock I was really upset that she felt this, and I feel really depressed that she thinks that I'd never be as good as him. So I told her I didn't want to continue with seeing her in any way, but I really miss her and I feel like I have lost something really special. I've never ever felt the loss of any woman before this female.
Why am I feeling like crap when she basically agreed to the no emotions relationship that I wanted. ?
