Anyone who has been through this.. help?

Has anyone had a spouse or SO who got addicted to drugs? Were you able to help them? If so how? Only serious answers please.

I lived with an alcoholic mother, I can tell you that the most you can do from your end is tell them how much it hurts to see them like that. You can’t influence them to get help if they don’t see a reason to change, and even if they see reason they have to be willing to take the steps to make those changes. Those steps can be incredibly difficult, and while I have no doubt they would appreciate your support in getting better, it has to be their choice to get better. If they refuse to change or refuse to help and you find yourself exhausted and tired of seeing them continue to fail, then you should leave. Your support is not infinite, and neither should your pain for them be either.

Yeah she was actually abused and forcefully given drugs by her abusive partner when I met her
I took her to a rehab and then after 3 weeks she moved in with me and eventually she was better than ever

I'm happy she went to rehab for you and her. Mine won't go to rehab says he can do it himself but keeps relapsing and I don't know what to do.

It's really hard to get away from them on your own after a point, he needs to realise that...
Try having a deep conversation with him.. there's nothing wrong with going to rehab, it actually takes courage to do so

I know, I have had many, many conversations, begged and cried. I love him. I don't want to give up but helping him is taking a toll on me.

Oh I am so sorry again, I can only imagine how helpless you feel
I really wish people cared to reciprocate their partners love more.. they have no idea how rare such partners are
Do you guys have a trusted fsmily member with whom you can discuss?
None the less, I feel this really needs and expert intervention

I've tried family, they seem to set him off worse. I have literally tried everything from a professional and loving stand point. I feel defeated. It's why I asked on here for some real stories that could maybe help turn the tide. I just need a miracle now. We have been together since we were 14 we got married at 18 and have kids. I want Nothing more than to help him and I just keep coming up short every time. Thank you for responding though I appreciate it so much.

I can really understand you
I don't know if cops would be a good idea..
I am not an expert , I am didn't face many problems thankfully to get her back
