Like what if your significant other called you stupid, dumb, weak, wimp etc? Is that acceptable or would it damage the relationship?
What types of sarcasm are acceptable overall? None or some type of sarcasm and what?

maybe it's just me, but i can't stand sarcasm because i truly do not get when sarcasm is being thrown at me and it's frustrating and confusing.
also, i don't think your comments are seen as sarcasm, those are more like insults to me. but again, i just don't know your kind of sarcasm. maybe be a little more light hearted if you need to use sarcasm. if my partner ever called me those things, i'd be heartbroken. that's not a healthy relationship at all.
actually i had a friend call me dumb, as i'm sure she was joking, but let's just say after a few years of that she's no longer my friend. actually, she has no friends now. just her partner.
Yes, even "dumb" is BAD. I feel you. Me ex girlfriend did that. It's kinda childish though if it's cool to the people in a relationship it's fine as sarcasm between them
Some if it is fine in my opinion. If it's constant, and begins to wear you down and you don't find it funny anymore, then the person should really cut it out.
My dad once called me a loser when we were talking about something, and it was the funniest thing I'd ever heard come from his mouth toward me that I broke out into so much laughter I had tears in my eyes. I've also called him stupid and had the same reaction.
This sort of thing spilled into my marriage, where we poke fun and tease when the time is right. One time my husband stepped on a rake and broke his glasses that all I could do was say, "I married an idiot." We both laughed. I mean, if the situation is funny enough to say something, why not?
I'd be so annoyed if I was in some relationship and the guy had zero-tolerance against all forms of kidding. In fact, I was in a relationship like that years ago. It was the most boring, dried up relationship I'd ever been in.
Don't listen to these girls. This is another instance of them saying they want one thing but really wanting the opposite. Girls love sarcasm. It's one of the best flirting methods available. Just don't do it about something they are insecure about. I told a girl that I lied to about a timing mix-up that I did it because I assumed she wouldn't be able to do the required basic math to call me out on it (I was only half joking she's shit at math). She ate it up.
When in doubt, over exaggerating is better than under. Tease but not about things that would actually matter to you. Don't use it all the time, make sure you give her real compliments occasionally.
@ItsoktobeWhite - what he's saying isn't sarcasm imbecile.

I'm a very sarcastic person so if I said no I'd be a hypocrite. But behaving like an asshole and using sarcasm as an excuse is unacceptable.
How do you differentiate and doesn't that cause problems? Like what if they say something your insecure about and keep doing it or vice versa?
Calling someone stupid or dumb isn’t really sarcasm.
I can't stand sarcasm. It will surely run me off
I use sarcasm, he knows me so there are no misunderstandings. We don't go around calling eachother names though.
Is disrespectful unless you are actually what you are being called
When used in jest, yes. However, when it’s used to hurt the other person, absolutely not okay.
Acceptable is if its understandable, otherwise clarify after the joke
no never go be smart with your mother that’s how i feel
I think it's ok, so as long as your partner picks up on sarcasm.
Sarcasm is a relationship killer.
I don't mind it
