At what age did you first get into a relationship, and how long did it last?

I was 16. She was 14. She approached me first and then we started going steady. She had been in one, previous, short-term relationship, so was not a virgin. In that relationship, she had also had a pregnancy scare so was on the pill.

After we went steady for a couple weeks, she invited me into the house trailer that was parked in her parent's back yard. It was the first time I had ever had sex.

We continued to go steady for the rest of the school year and summer. She was a really great person, but I had no interest in getting married or having kids. I eventually broke off our relationship when I met a new girl.

At that age, I felt that I needed to experience more of life. Interestingly, that first girl and I remained friends because we had the same circle of friends.

A few years later, she and one of my best friends got married had two daughters.

She and I are Facebook friends now. She's a happy grandma.
