So me and this girl I was in love with broke up at the beginning of summer and have not spoken to each other until a few days ago.

So that day we talked for the first time, and we ended up have sex about an hour later. It was amazing, and we hugged and kissed for a long time even after the sex. We both forgave each other and said sorry.

Now here is what is weird, the exact next day, I saw her again walking by at school, and she just walked by me like nothing happened. And in class sat far away and I would keep seeing her looking at me and turning away. Why would she become distant again the next day, and I feel like we will ghost each other again.

Yes, as mentioned by others, the "ex" factor is great. It creates lots of awkwardness particularly if the final outcome could be similar.
