Why is my ex being weird?

My ex and I broke up about a year ago in the worst possible way... we simply blocked each other no discussion or agreement or anything. We never spoke to or saw each other again. However everytime his current relationships don't work out he tries to contact me (private calls, text messages, my family members) I never ever respond or give in. What is his intention with this?

Because you are his ex and he may have spent a lot of time with you. And he thinks you'd understand him better in that situation and he could confide in you and share his grief with you.
Guys do that sometimes when they're having a hard time, they look for people who would really understand them in that situation and usually it's their ex.

It's over don't reply to him. And he just needs support. He'll mostly leave when he feels better
