For as much as my ex girlfriend treated me like shit and continued to yell at me and talk down to me after the relationship when I called about certain obligations we had together. I never really found myself getting upset with her

Hmm that's a tough one man. I think it kinda says a bit about both of you.

On her part, sounds like she had some issues taking her anger out on you if she kept yelling and being rude even after you broke up. That ain't cool behavior on her end.

But for you, the fact that you didn't really get mad or upset with her even when she was treating you badly, might mean you're a pretty chill dude who doesn't like confrontation. Which is an okay quality to have I guess.

It could also be that you still cared about her deep down, so you let some of her disrespect slide cause of that. Nothing wrong with having feelings, but gotta stand up for yourself too, ya know?

Overall I'd say don't be too hard on yourself about it. Ending things was probably the right call if she was messed up like that. And it's good you didn't blow up on her or keep the drama going.

Just make sure in the future you don't let people walk all over you. Know your worth, man! You deserve a girl who respects you back. Live and learn - you'll do better next time around for sure.
