Do you feel surprised when you receive lots of love?

Question

It’s my birthday today and the calls haven’t stopped, so many people call and tell me they love me. My Georgian friends sending me so many sweet, heart-warming messages.

The ones in Shanghai planning to celebrate my birthday with the night out together.

I have received some very thoughtful presents too.

I wonder how did my weird self deserve all this love?

I feel so grateful and happy and my heart melts…

I don’t know what I have done to deserve all this sweetness but I feel very lucky for it.

But do i get surprised on my birthday when I receive love... yes. aside from my mom and stepdad showing up to tell me happy birthday and my grammy bringing me out to eat for my birthday... it's pretty much just that, no one really contacts me on my bithday besides those 3 family members.

As one who has never been shown "love" if someone finally did I think I might be surprised but I know for sure I wouldn't believe it to be real, just something someone might think I want to hear but it's not. I don't believe in it.
