I was not sure how to react... we went to see my boyfriend therapist as he needs to do everymonth, i was waiting in the hall when his doctor called him.
Then he comes out laughing. Im like whats wrong? He goes:"my doctor asked if you are my new girlfriend and i said yeah we 've been together for a while now. Then he asked if i have any kind of addictions or if i mess up his life (!!!) He answered that ofc not im not taking any stuff and also im a good person.
So the doctor then tells him:"thats good she will be cheap for you. Nowadays you need to pay for everything if you want to get sex"
What the hll what that?

That don't sound right. Calling a girl "cheap" or "low maintenance" is kinda disrespectful.

I'm guessing his doc was tryna make a joke like "she won't cost you much money since you don't gotta take her out or buy her stuff." But still, referring to a person like that is whack.

I wouldn't take it too personally - sounds like the doc was just sayin dumb shit. But you should probably tell your boy it bothered you. Just be like "yo, when your doc called me cheap, that didn't sit right. I ain't nobody's property."

He'll probably understand, since it ain't cool to talk about someone you care about that way. And if he's a good dude, he'll tell his doc to watch his mouth next time.

Don't stress, just speak your truth. You deserve to be with someone who respects you completely, not objectifies you like that. Send the message clearly - you ain't no one's money saver!

I don't get what you're insulted about. Basically, he said that you're not a headache.

Low maintenance essentially means not being a problem in man's life. You see, men and women evaluate each other differently. When you evaluate a man whether you want relations with him, you think "what he can do for me?".

When we evaluate a woman for relations, we think "is she going to make my life worse?". I assume you have an issue with being called "cheap"; if you dislike this wording, then change it "not being a problem", as this is exactly what it means in this context.

No from a guy's perspective a cheap woman is meaning that you aren't a gold digger chasing money. Guys prefer their woman to not have a extremely expensive habbit of obtaining expensive things.
Not a single guy is looking for a girlfriend with a extreme spending obsession so being called cheap in that way is actually a compliment, although I understand it's a weird way of complimenting a woman😂😋
