There is a lot more then sex. If that’s all someone has to offer. That’s exactly the type of men she will attract. Men who only value sex and will scoop to any desperate level to get it. It goes both ways.

There are women who demand to be spoiled. At least in traditional marriages. The wife cooked, cleaned, homeschooled the kids, and everything around the house. The husband didn’t have to lift a finger unless the husband wanted to help the wife out once in a while.

This is a small percent of women who are like this. But people are becoming more entitled on romantic relationships. Men and women

I strongly think the traditional view of gender roles needs to be distinguished between the traditional "educated class view" vs. the traditional "working class view".

The working class view does tend to veer towards a direction that prizes the most blindly obedient and submissive housewives with a "women belong in the kitchen" mindset. That's the extremely skewed set of gender roles that seems to be resurfacing in popularity with the likes of "tradwives" who spend all day as homemakers and trying to look pretty to their husbands.

Yet I don't think that's representative of even the traditional educated class. The traditional educated class often favored educated and sophisticated women of class whose aspirations and intellectual curiosity went far beyond being a mere housewife. It favored women who could do far more than cook and clean and men who could do far more than slave away at a factory or mine all day long. It's where I suspect the classic gentleman was born since he was a man of sophistication and class who favored becoming suitors to women of sophistication and class.

Where the classic gentleman and gentle lady differs from the hyper-independent modern types we see today is that they still valued the bare minimal gender roles of viewing men as the ones ultimately responsible for leadership, protection, and provision, while viewing women as ultimately responsible for support, nurturing, and homemaking, but there was plenty of room to cross over.

That's actually the ideal configuration in my perspective is that if the man is to be the metaphorical captain of the ship, his wife is at least his first officer and must trusted advisor, since even the metaphorical captain of the ship might not always be around, incapacitated, or even killed, and the wife might have to at least temporarily take on his responsibilities. And vice versa if the wife is not around, incapacitated, or killed, at which point the husband must be able to take on his wife's responsibilities at least temporarily.

So I think that's an important distinction we must make even when we're talking about what's traditional is whether we're talking about the educated class or the uneducated class.
