574 opinions shared on Relationships topic. Unfortunately most are always looking for the best next thing as options that they think they have and not really valuing to build who they have infront of them, normalizing ghosting to walk away > communicating concerns/conflict resolutions/feelings, protective of feelings to not get hurt and just fearful, emotionally drained or burnt out, some aren’t looking for commitment, some are battle of genders instead of meeting in the middle, unrealistic expectations, hook up cultural, compatibility or timing might be off, no loyalty, etc
But there are a lot of great women who are looking for meaningful relationships, hope you’ll be able to find them :)34 Reply

oh aren't you just one of the good ones. Give me a break fat ass. Its cause you're all whores now, enjoying your sexual liberation. and I hope you know the men in your life look at you in disgust.

+1 yI can tell you the secret. When I was a teenager with plenty of free time, no boy ever looked at me. When I went to the medical college and needed to learn a lot and had no time for dates and romance, there was a queue of fellow students who couldn't live without me. Now, when I do my residency and don't have time to visit a bathroom, men start to notice me. And all are attracted as hell.
So the secret is - don't be interested in dating. Don't grant yourself time to look at women; be focused, busy, and unavailable most of the time. Being rude and unfriendly multiplies the effect.11 Reply- +1 y
yeah... isn't it more likely you looked worse when you were younger? and as you got into college those guys just wanted a new plaything. The ego on these bitches

+1 yIt's the illusion of choice people think they have.. Along with many people not knowing how to communicate, a lot of mind games being played to keep somebody interested, an up tick in narcissistic tendencies, and social media with the toxic relationship advice all play a role in why people are looking for relationships but not finding them..
People go on a few dates, and seem to like someone perfectly fine, but feel like there's "more to explore" out there, and go onto the next one like a sociopath.. And then when they don't find what their looking for onto the next and on and on and so forth.. Many people have too much of an "abundance" mindset..

I couldn’t agree more with you … absolutely spot on analysis in my opinion
+1 yGirls are the easiest thing to get ever... after you already have a girl. There is reasons for that that I won't bother to get into. But if you don't have one... pretend you do until you do. Then after that... play the field.
Eventually, you'll be saying shit like "bitches ain't shit but hoes and tricks" and wondering why they go for someone like you and not some nice young man that doesn't already have 3 or 4 other girls sucking on his pecker already. I mean they say they want that guy... but they don't suck his pecker do they?
I know I sound like a dick right now, but you know what, if you want pussy then you really got to be a dick.

+1 yRomance comes to those who have matured and learned confidence and strength. You can’t seek a relationship until you are ready to be a dedicated and faithful husband and father.

+1 yIf you’re ugly, I have some bad news. Women do NOT like that shit. But if you’re not ugly, then it’s weird you’re having a problem. I’m not hot by any means but if I wanted a relationship I could get one. I’d say the easiest way is having friends that have friends. Then just spend time with them, in my experience familiarity is the door you’re looking for.

Well that’s half the battle in your favor my friend. Like I said all my gf’s I’ve had came about from hanging out with friends and those friends bring around their friends. And I just made sure to hangout with them as a group a lot. And contrary to popular belief I never tried to be friends with them first, never asked for their numbers or even to hangout with them alone, but in group settings and just try to give a positive energy and crack jokes and then if they are interested they will just tend to get close to you, and you’ll notice when they make a point to be closer and then that just leads to you guys talking on the side. That’s literally what leads to all my gf’s. I don’t use dating apps at all so I have no advice for that.
Our generation has become people who have a small attention span. People are always looking for the next best thing. They might choose something but sooner or later they will start to feel bored and lose excitement so they start looking elsewhere. Making it hard to commit to someone.

It's scary talking to new people. It makes you vulnerable. You feel stupid. In front of a lot of people. Sometimes you get verbally assaulted (if they are a nut case) And if you have no friends...
Or if your going through a really hard time. Some people have it easy and the make fun of you. Just wait until they lose..10 ReplyIs it? Just started going on apps with the status "seeking serious rl" and finding a lot of like minded women. Maybe even more than the casual ones but it could simple be the algorythm getting used to my type.

+1 yFeminism and social media have turned too many women into entitled narcissistic whores. The result is hoeflation: a man must now work much harder than his grandfather for a woman much worse than his grandmother. Gone are the days when an average man working 40 hours a week can get a wife who is fit, feminine, friendly, and a virgin and now everyone is worse off for it.
00 Reply For me it's like walking on egg shells. Its so difficult to find a reliable partner. Mostly people are so shallow, they only want physical pleasure. No commitment, no depth.

@Lady_Heart A generation raised online, with social media induced narcissism and poor social skills; drink, sex, drugs, nihilism... Few will even do their own psychological work, let alone work on a relationships with healthy and necessary conflict and resolution. Then, if you're a guy with shitty economic prospects, and you're not attractive, i. e. 7-10, it's even harder because there are few decent third spaces outside home and work.
I want something romantic and old fashioned, but not a mere fantasy idealised, the real deal. Solid foundations through solid communication. Gotta get some dancing in their too, but not club nonsense, something classy... - +1 y
@incorrected gotta be a passport bro for that these days. Or find some church girl or studious librarian or something.

You must be friends first, then the relationship will naturally happen!

@LivingExample Not always though, you gotta be aware of that. I've been friendzoned in the past. It was frustrating.
- +1 y
It really comes down to what you consider a friend. If you want more in a friendship, but that is all they are offering you need to get out of the friendship. People get “friend zoned” because they are in something they need to get out of!
Anonymous(18-24)+1 yIt's because all people want nowadays is intercourse only, being single, or "dating", but not being 100% committed to a real relationship.

You have the same issue I have then in a different form, you can't judge based on someones looks if they are genuinely compatible partners yet looks is all you have to go on in a lot of cases. I bet if I go to a nearby train station there is a perfect girl for me there and she happens to be single. Finding her in the crowd however is impossible.
Same in your case, any man can tell you he's looking for something serious. Finding the right serious committed guy is going to be a challenge if there are a lot of dishonest ones who just want sex.

1. Where are you looking?
2. People your age (and hell even mine fine) are either already married, in a relationship and are starting their families, having babies, and so you kind really do have to be intentional about finding them.
3. Cost of living is more expensive now (especially if you're from the U. S.). Incomes and cost of living has never been equal or better, unless you're rich or have some sort of advantage (family money, rich uncle, lotto winnings, etc.)
Why is it so hard to get a relationship?
