If I hid from my boyfriend that I got attacked, is it considered lying by omission?

I am hiding from my boyfriend that I was attacked and raped. I am already going through so much I don’t want to bring it up I am scared of his reaction and I am just not feeling like I want to experience more trauma. I just feel like maybe he’d be angry if he found out somehow and I don’t want to look like a liar and have him leave me.

However mad you’d think he’d be if you told him (which I honestly don’t think he’d be mad at you) you might as well times that by 10 if he finds out himself later. Being honest is the literal best thing for relationships yet people constantly, despite all the facts of life pointing to the opposite, still try to lie/hide/omit information and think it’s gonna somehow work out for them.

Also on a side note I’m truly sorry that that happened to you, no one deserves to go through that and I hope you can heal and become as whole as you can. And I hope you can do that with the comfort and support of your boyfriend.

He would not leave or be angry at you, he maybe pissed but at the guy. He wouldn't leave you and if by small chance he did he is an jerk that doesn't deserve you. You need comfort though this and I'm sure he can provide that.

Why would he be angry with you
