Why my boyfriend told me to cover up?

I went to the beach last week with my boyfriend. I wore this really beautiful, sexy, cute bikini. When I told him I wore a bikini for today's beach date he seemed excited to see it but when I took off my clothes and revealed it he soon gave me his sweatshirt and told me to cover up.
He did not let me take it off until we returned back to the car. I wore my bikini for the beach to swim, not for him to look at it in the car.

Why did he do this?

Because stay single if it’s like that? He probably doesn’t want other guys hurting in yoh and hurting his feelings. Guys don’t like that. It makes you insecure in the relationship and makes them feel like you could leave at any second. It shows you aren’t faithful and aren’t taken off the market. It kinda shows you are still looking to impress other guys.. Of it’s like that.. What are you even doing in a relationship? You should just stay friends.

I didn't wear to impress other guys. I wore it because I liked the design. My boyfriend is so close to me he walks right next to me so I dont see a problem wearing a bikini because won't other guys not look if they know I am taken?

It still makes you feel insecure/safe. It like puts you on edge kind of thing and ruins your peace of mind. You will be constantly wondering if someone’s planning on stsling them.. Whatever.. It just makes you feel like that. It shows they care tho don’t it on the bright side because if they didn’t care/thinking long term it wouldn’t matter to them if they lost you. Don’t women like that? I know if it were me and I was attracted to somebody that certainly would..

Protective instinct. My boyfriend did the same thing and he wasn’t even with me i was with my family I had to send him a picture every 5 minutes so he can make sure I kept the shirt on
