Why are quiet people so disliked?

You don't even need validation or liking of such immature people honestly.
Not you particularly but people in general who are quiet and silent in their behaviour don't need the company of such people.
I'm saying that as a quiet person myself and I know how it feels. Gossiping and bitching is usually what many people bond upon today. Funny thing in itself. If you're alike them, you'll be a near and dear friend. You choose not to be like them, you get excluded.

"people think i'm weird". do they? how do you know? you don't talk to people much. so is that a genuine reflection of the reality or is it you thinking that? and if it's real, why do you associate it with you being quiet? i mean there's bunch of very good reasons to dislike someone. why don't you assume it's one of these reasons.

Because people get offended when they have to take their time to get to know someone. We live in a world where currently give way too much information about themselves on a daily basis for no reason.

People have a bad habit of thinking quite people are unfriendly and don't like people. I like people I just don't talk to a lot of people, they "scare" me.

Well scare isn't the right word I'm just shy and bad with people at first. I always feel so awkward and afraid I will say something stupid. So I end up coming off as awkward and prove myself right 😮‍💨

I'm like this as well. Usually I'm quiet and to the point I don't do anything extra. Don't dwell on other people they should respect who you are.
