Aside from a gut feeling, what can be the other signs that your partner is cheating?
It's a bit like being a detective in your own love story, except you really wish you didn't have to be. The signs someone is cheating can vary widely from person to person and relationship to relationship, but here are some common red flags that might make your spidey senses tingle:
Sudden Changes in Behavior: If he's suddenly glued to his phone, changes his passwords, or his routine changes with no clear reason, you might start wondering what's up.
Guarding the Phone Like It's a Treasure Chest: This is classic. If he's suddenly super secretive about his phone or computer, it might be because there's something (or someone) on there he doesn’t want you to see.
Emotional Distance: If he's emotionally checked out, it could be a sign of trouble. This can be a bit tricky, though, because people can become distant for a ton of reasons, not just cheating.
Accusations Toward You: Sometimes, a cheating partner will flip the script and start accusing you of being unfaithful.
Unexplained Expenses: Random charges on bank statements or credit cards can be a clue, especially if they're for things or places that don't seem to involve you.
Changes in Appearance: If he suddenly starts hitting the gym hard, dressing better, or grooming himself with more attention to detail than he does for your usual date nights, you might wonder who he's trying to impress.
Less Intimacy: If your physical relationship has cooled off without explanation, it could be a sign.
Overly Defensive: If bringing up any changes or concerns leads to immediate defensiveness or overreaction, it could indicate something is amiss.
New, Unexplained Friendships: New friends aren’t a bad thing, but if there's someone new and it feels a bit off how he talks about them or the time spent with them, trust your gut.
Your Gut Feeling: Honestly, sometimes it's just a feeling. If something feels off, it's worth paying attention to that intuition.
These are not the proof of he is cheating. You should communicate with your partner. It's scary, but addressing your concerns directly can clear the air and show you where you both stand. If you're really struggling to get a straight answer and the worry is eating away at you, couples therapy could be a helpful step. 00 Reply

1 ySome common signs are; sudden or unexplained changes in behavior, mood, or habits. Being unusually secretive about their phone, computer, or whereabouts. A noticeable decrease in emotional and physical intimacy. Unaccounted for expenses or credit card charges (this is a hard one though since not everyone has insights into each others accounts, less credit card costs). More time spent away from home without a clear explanation or a lie that you can read miles away. Reduced communication and avoidance of deep conversations alongside overreacting or becoming defensive to simple questions.
The gut feeling accompanied by other changes can definitely give a more insight into one's partner's habits.

Yes. What people in the comments said, it’s true. But it could be the opposite. Once they start cheating they might want to overcompensate. So this might mean more gifts, being more affectionate, less fighting, more sex and etc. if there is a drastic change of behavior, there’s a reason

If he is being distant from you , not including you in things not being intimate and affectionate with you like he use to before Not making you his priority , only treating you like a convenience , He prioritizes everyone else over you , His friends become more important to him then you do , because he is using his friends as an excuse to see his new girl. He also gets sneaky with his phone , he takes it with him everywhere he goes at all times , he is afraid of leaving his phone next to you. This goes for cheating Girls as well

20 Reply1.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. In general I'd say change in habits. Grabbing a shower immediately coming home.
For guys i'd say less sexual interest in partner or MORE from the Coolidge effect. If we are getting sex from a new girl it fires us up and we might up for more sex with the partner.
If the girls is putting more attention into her appearance than she has recently, that's a bit of give away. If you think she has come home from a fucking a good detector is force sex on her. If you go up to the hilt in one thrust then, yes, she has come home freshly fucked. I call it the dip stick test.00 Reply- 417 opinions shared on Relationships topic.
1 ySafe guarding his phone, unexplained absences, accusing you of cheating, holes in his daily stories, overall mood, demeanor, his room is too clean... Like he was covering up. But be careful, guys that are true narcissists or pathological Liars can hide anything.

So it happens that after having problems in the marriage a woman might withdraw or emotionally disconnect, check out of that marriage. Then another woman might fulfill his emotional needs. Statistically men ALSO cheat more emotionally, without having physically done something, than having sexual affair. Men also need a partner, someone to talk to, someone who understands them, someone’s who’s there for them. If the wife is ignoring his husband emotions needs he might fall for someone that does. Usually it’s a colleague or a friend.

@IAMRIA so the wife is the one to blame if a husband cheats?
I believe that cheating has no excuse, when a wife achieves this level of stupidity, such as treating her man like this than they better divorce and each one find a person who suits him/her
You see in a real marriage, such things doesn't happens and if they does, it's just a matter of time for everything to return the way it should!
A couple have to learn what a real marriage is and how to solve their issues without hate! - 1 y
Okay there is like hundreds of things I disagree with what you said. First of all it’s always the spouse that cheats that’s at fault. If you’re not happy you leave the marriage or relationship and go find a person who’s always there for you. You asked a dumb question and I was kind enough to explain how it works but all you do is yap and not even understand what I’m saying.
Generally people cheat when a need is not met. Might be sexual need. Might be emotional. Statistically lost affair are emotional only and the sexual affairs also have sole emotional part or it too.
If a person is perfectly happy and satisfied they won’t cheat. No one should cheat. Cheating is terrible but people do it. And that’s the reason. They don’t get what they need from their relationship. You asked why people cheat like it’s just too hard to grasp. It’s simple. Just because you don’t agree you think it’s wrong. Please focus.
And yeah I do agree about the last part. When there is a problem, both persons must be able to sit down, and communicate their feelings, emotions, fears, boundaries and work together towards fixing the problem.
In real life this doesn’t happen every time. Be for real now - 1 y
@IAMRIA why are you angry woman? Don't let your tongue spit bad words towards me cause it ain't gonna help you!
You can tell me your opinion without being angry and disrespectful...
Try to calm down, i'll pass it for you this time and will give you a chance to behave and i understand what you're saying, i was just mentioning my opinion and how i felt about it, that's all! - 1 y
You know what you’re not the first guy who asks a question and then if a woman tries to answer it, he completely shuts down and isn’t ready to communicate 😂😂men like that are everywhere. I wasn’t angry. I was disappointed in you tho. I’m not here to argue with you. I was here to tell you how people feel. Happy people don’t cheat. 🤷🏽♀️
