Been dating someone for a year and our relationship consists of extravagant outings and traveling, but we are not spending mundane life together. We don't live together and he refuses to live together. We go month at a time without seeing each other. Is this a real relationship? I feel like it's fake is some ways. My relationship is the opposite, we always spend mundane life together but rarely ever done any extravagant outings let alone travel together. I don’t really see anything wrong with going out/traveling together often though especially since you’ve only been going out for a year. Once you enter the “comfortable” stage then things might slow down. There’s also nothing wrong with not wanting to live together, the only thing that’s sus is the fact that you can go a month not seeing each other. Are you in a LDR?

I think a month is a long time not seeing each other, especially if it isn’t a one off.
I wouldn’t call that a relationship but then people have different preferences.

I’d try to spend more time together and maybe have more mundane outings to see if you are even compatible in normal day to day settings - I wouldn’t want to move in with someone without having done this first.
