Guy friend is bringing me to his hometown and I feel a bit bothered?

It is the holidays this week and I need to have someone accompany me. My guy friend was planning to go home to his hometown so, i was thinking of going to the places nearby his hometown but he responded with messages indicating it's fine if I see his house. I never thought of going to his house but it might seem that based in his responses, we are going there this week.

And so, i'm lowkey feeling weird and not sure how to back out because he seem set on going there so I said yes but I'm not sure I want to meet his parents and not sure what I will say. Am i overthinking things? I just feel awkward.

I used to have confessed my feelings to him in the past and so this is a bit awkward for me.
