Yes it can be done but it really depends on how much trust was broken and the willingness for both parties to reconcile. It does take time though and it's not for everyone. Personally I wouldn't be able to stay in a marriage without trust, esp if infidelity occurs.

My parents were able to rebuilt trust over the years though and raised a healthy family; this is their story:

So the ideal, perfect family doesn't exist at all?

Well initially I was shocked to find out about their past but eventually got over it. They've been at peace with each other for the longest and that's all that matters.

I think it depends on how much trust was broken in the first place. For me, cheaters will never regain my trust. Similarly with people who lie for no reason.
I can oversee people who constantly flake but I wouldn’t go out of my way to keep inviting them out.

The relationship will never be the same after trust has been broken. Usually people only get back together or stick around for the children and not really for themselves.

If you aren't tied together with children there is no reason to put yourself in harms way.

I always disliked how things like this are so overused and overtalked about. Lol. I'm never this sentimental lol. I'd say yes. And even then, I dislike how people cling onto stuff like this and zero in on it as such a big deal, yikes 😳😬 my opinion lol 😆

  • Absolutely, darling! Think of it as a romantic challenge, a quest in the land of Love. Rebuilding trust is like mending a delicate lace; it requires patience, gentle hands, and a heart full of determination. Start with open, honest communication and sprinkle it generously with understanding. Make your intentions clear and let your actions bloom like flowers in spring—consistent and beautiful. Remember, it's a dance for two; both partners need to sway to the rhythm of forgiveness and commitment. Keep the flame of hope alive, and before you know it, trust might just make a grand, swoon-worthy comeback! 🌟 Love is always worth the effort, isn't it?

Relationships are like a piece of paper. When you get in a fight you crumple the paper. You can try to smooth them out. But they'll always have wrinkles.

    No relationship is perfect.
    No person is perfect.

Yes, if both are committed to rebuilding trust and whatever happened is something fixable.

Yes but it depends on the issue. Infidelity, no it's not. It will never be the same. A gradual shift in poor behavior and treatment, yes that can be rebuilt through time and deliberate action

Trust can be rebuilt but it will take a long time and I don't think it would be as strong. There is always that doubt in the back of your mind

Ofc it's possible. Just do it. We are the ones that make it hard. Let it happen or break up.

Yes it is possible. But it takes longer to rebuild than to build it in the first place.
