So kinda depends on how you define it. If we go with the first sentence, which is true meaning, then it's quickly becoming a thing of the past with much of the rest of traditional gender roles. Now that women are allowed to get education and seek a well-paying career, most of them are. As such, the gap between educational and social status is closing.

If we go with the second definition, then it gets more complicated. Mainly because the terms are vague, subjective, can be interpreted in several ways.

As for how I personally feel about it, I would have to go case by case because realistically education and social status don't necessarily equal value

Why would I think anything of it? People do what they gotta do. If their choice doesn't work for them anymore, they can feel free to move to another. Why would I even have a say or an opinion on what other people choose to do when it doesn't even affect me?
