Ahhh, hypergamy.
the advantage women have over us men.
average women can more easily choose to mate with men of higher social class. Average men don't have that choice and if they try, then they are most likely doomed to be single for life.

so what do you think of hypergamy? Is it good or bad or neutral?

the way i see it, women are lucky to have THAT CHOICE. We don't have it.

Women can be hypergamous for either reasons:

smart reasons would be to not settle for losers, who can't even get their own life together and bitch about stuff rather than doing something about it. That would only drag the woman (and her offspring if any) down into the miseries. I think it's a fundamental survival instinct function.
not so smart reasons would be the gold diggery nature in the hypergamy. The neighbor may be making 100$ more per month and next thing you know, you're a single man again, who was used by a bitch basically.

and also many (potentially good) men remain single as a result. No, I'm not talking about the extremes of the incels.

A little bit of both.

Hypergamy has always been an essential part of human nature. Natural selection is more about weeding out the weak men than weak women - in most species the males compete with each other for breeding rights and only the strongest are able to reproduce. Without that selection we wouldn't be what we are now, we'd devolve rather than evolve. This is why we have incels, and if they aren't smart enough to figure out how to get out of their situation it's a good thing that they don't breed.

Where it causes problems is when, as in the example above with the woman who wants to dump her husband for a "better" man, the woman has no sense of loyalty. Not choosing a loser to date/marry is a good idea - dumping the person you vowed to spend the rest of your life with because something better comes along is not, that's a piece of shit move in the same way a wealthy older man getting rid of the wife for a younger woman would be. It leads to broken families if kids are involved in which case her selfishness causes a lot of damage.

Maybe naturally women choose someone at her same level or higher. But that doesn’t mean they will ditch the guy if the one next doors starts to make more money, or if the guy she is with loses her job. It’s not about how much money he makes and gives to her, it’s more of a social thing. I think women like to be seen with a successful educated person, makes them feel like they are good enough for them and women like their families approval, we all want approval from our families and for them to be happy about who we are with I think

I think it's similar to saying "all men want women with big titties". Well, while we do like big breasts (which is something, that nature gave women whereas money is not natural and not being born in men but instead is being made) that reason is actually insignificant when it comes to the woman having the correct set of personalities.

I would choose the sweet, nice, kind and loving lady with tiny breasts over any big tittied bitch, who feels can stomp on me any time she wants and basically controls my life, who i can and cannot see, commands me to share my passwords etc...

To be fair I've been around more men that are like this than women. They lose a bit more of their baby fat, grow out their hair, hit 6'0, turn into dickheads and dump their girlfriends because they think they're too good for them. I've been flat out ignored by boys that I was friends with when they "got hot". I've seen girls this do this to other girls but never to dudes.

Sure it exists and it's a bad thing.
It's exists when someone has a higher social standard rather than a moral standard.
Some people male or female are always on the lookout for someone better than the person who they are already with weather it's in regards to money or looks.

Lol. I’m gonna be honest, hypergamy is totally normal cause we all want someone who’s attractive and financially stable. The only difference did that men prioritize look and women prioritize money. If a man is attracted a to a woman cause she have a beautiful butt then she have the right to be attracted to him cause he have a beautiful car. They can both get along with each other and eventually fall in love but attraction is always based on something superficial, wether it’s look or money.

@Dali-chan you are missing the point completely , you don't understand what hypergamy is or you are just sidetracking the main issue. you are only stating we are attracted to different things, but what hypergamy means is women want someone who is higher status than they are , men not. of course men are attracted to someone who is pretty, but if they are in the bottom say 30% rest assure they will be happy with women who are in the bottom 30%. women in contrast , if they are below average looking or poor or short will ignore as much as possible men in the same category as them
