My boyfriend's parents' house is filthy and disgusting?

Currently my boyfriend (30) lives with his parents due to an unforeseen circumstance. That house is so disgusting. Pet feces laying around, towels soaked with dog urine, and there's been a pregnant mouse running around in there. I think there's a big possibility my boyfriend could also be just as disgusting. I wouldn't know because I never lived with him. I asked him before why he doesn't lift a finger in that house. He hardly ever does house chores. His parents are old , why won't he just try to clean up the house especially during his free time. He will spend his free time talking to me on the phone instead, going out with his friends or play on his play station. Is this guy a loser or what? Gosh I can't even stand his passive parents who did a horrible job raising him. I'm really not a snob princess where I can't deal with a little dirt, but this is just unacceptable and it angers me. It angers me that my boyfriend can't even get his parents some help with the home, perhaps pay for a maid to come in and clean the filth. His excuse is that if he cleans the house, it will just be filthy again which I have a really hard time believing.
