My boyfriend makes me miss my ex?

My boyfriend and i have been together for 7 months and he moved in with me in 1st month. He doesn't pay me enough attention, like i love being touched, played with my hair, kissed randomly etc. I told him multiple times that it hurts me and makes me feel unloved that he doesn't do these. He only bought me a gift on Valentine's Day. He rarely pays attention me in public. He holds my hand when we are walking tho. At home, I am always the one to hug him, kiss him. He only wants to get intimate when he gets a boner like in the morning or when we are cuddling while he is behind me. I want him to come to me out of nowhere and grab me and start making out. He rarely does that too. I have forgotten that I am a female. I used to have so much feminine energy around my ex and he made me feel like I am the most beautiful girl and made me feel like I am his queen. He always wanted to have sex, he always cuddled me, gave me hugs and kisses out of nowhere, bought me gifts when he can afford. He put effort in me and I did the same for him. But with my recent boyfriend, I am tired of being the only one putting effort and I am tired of telling him how I want him to pay me attention. I had never missed my ex before being with my recent boyfriend. It is like he forces me to miss him. Any advice? Talking to him have never made any change.

I have a suggestion: Make it a habit/ritual that whenever the two of you come together after time apart (say when one of you comes over to the other's place, or when one of you comes home to the other if you live together) the FIRST thing you do before even saying "hello" is you both strip fully naked, get into bed and embrace so you have FULL body contact. Stay here for a full 5-10 minutes. You can kiss or you can hug and caress, but the only "rule" is no sex and no stroking genitals.

The point of doing this is to 1) make sure you both have the opportunity for LOTS of touch WITHOUT it being tied to sex, 2) make sure that you are prioritizing your PHYSICAL connection over the LONG STREAM OF VERBAL BULLSHIT that most likely otherwise characterizes the first words you speak to each other (which often just contain the stress and nonsense of the day).

You are certainly allowed to feel sexual energy while doing this, and you should try to suppress it--just make it a point NOT to act on it during this time period. Two benefits of this: 1) you both get to clearly understand where the other's sexual energy is--he'll be able to feel your moisture and you'll feel his erection if either/both of you have a lot of sexual energy, and 2) you'll build even more arousal for later when you go on to have full sex or release each other in whatever way is most appropriate.
