Why does my boyfriend brings it up multiple times that his besy friend is expecting a baby?

Me (27) and my boyfriend (32) have been together for about 5 years and living together almost since the start. I still have not met all his friends though, due the pandemic/moving away/overall live stuff. There is one friend (not super close) now that he keeps mentioning a lot the past few weeks. This friend and his girlfriend are expecting a baby: they are the first out of all my boyfriends friends to become parents. My boyfriend told me a few weeks ago that his friend announced the pregnancy. Then today my boyfriend showed me the pictures of the ultrasounds.

Is that just my boyfriend being happy and excited for his friend becoming a father or is my boyfriend "testing the waters" to see how I will react?

The vast majority of guys want a loving, stable relationship with a loving, stable wife. Not girlfriend, wife.

And the key word is "stable". Be as freaky as you like in bed, just always have his back outside.

He may like the idea of being a parent, but be careful with that. My neighbors, right next door to me are just turning 40 and they have two children, girl 5 and boy 10. They are not married, but live as a committed married couple.

Not to suggest being unmarried cannot work, 'cause it does for some couples, just be very careful and cautious about being an unmarried woman. My friends ARE committed, but that doesn't always work for everyone.
