Why do boys cheat in a longterm relationship?

I recently found out that one of my male friend is cheating his girlfriend. He is in a relationship from past 9 years, his girlfriend is very sweet and simple. She loves him very much and unconditionally and she also trusts him but he is cheating on her physically. I don't know reason , why does guys cheat on their partners who are serious for them and love them unconditionally.

People cheat because they are selfish, and because they have opportunities to cheat.

Women can always cheat - nearly all women always have opportunities with other men, because nearly any woman can get men to sleep with her. The vast majority of men can't cheat, or at best have extremely limited opportunities to do so. But the top men - the top 10% or so - easily attract tons of women, and so they have endless opportunities to cheat. Thus, the only thing preventing them from cheating is their own morals.

Selfish people have low morals - they put their own needs above everyone else and do whatever they want to do. They don't care who they hurt in the process, because the only feelings that matter to them are their own.

Being selfish. While not wanting to accept/admit their relationship is done for. And instead of becoming single to do whatever they want. They want to keep their rotten relationship for the “status” but have fun elsewhere
