Why would an ex make fun of you online if the relationship ended a long time ago?

Say if a relationship ended a long time ago, but then your ex kept tabs on you online using fake accounts. Then they found a way to contact me and say that I’m still “infatuated” with him looking at my social media postings and claiming that it is obvious I still think about him and that it is funny. I don't know if he was the one wrote or if he asked someone else to do it since it was phrased from a second person’s perspective. Since these messages came he stopped viewing my social media. It has been about 2 weeks. What’s his problem? I never kept in touch with any ex did this long and this one seems a little nasty.

Just block him, don't respond and once he figures out that he isn't getting the reaction he wanted he will move on. Treat him like a 2 year d who is having a tantrum and is seeking attention.

Yeah I think he’s done for now. Though I have a feeling he either write the messages himself or used someone to do it. It’s fucked up in any case though cuz I knew it was him either way

Unresolved issues. I had an ex that after I ended it she stalked me for 2 years. She would talk about me but never by name (it was obvious she was talking about me). Saying things like there was a lot left unsaid between us trying to get support from others. Yet she wouldn't talk to me directly (not that i'm complaining i was done). She would just follow me and keep tabs on me. She didn't care about me. I think she just had a hard time accepting that SHE didn't end it.
