Does it sometimes take bad luck to find worthy people?

Some girl during my school years once said "Everyone hates you" or I was stereotyped as "the weird girl".

Present-day, many years later:

I've made friends over the years, others enjoyed my company and they don't see anything weird about me.

I've been rejected by 3 guys in my life. My HS crush:

Is a total jerk and his sister (my friend) come forward that he told her I'm the 3rd ugliest girl in school. He would secretly make disgusted faces and "you're ugly" jokes. Then one day he tried apologizing and win me back just out of pity. I hated that even more than the initial insult.

1st boyfriend:

His mocking words of "oh you're not ready for marriage". I followed through by both a break-up and permanent block.

2nd boyfriend:

He called me immature when he himself wasn't even stable himself and broke up. Immediately unfriended him that day.

3rd man:

Nothing. I'm his fiancee. He finds everything great about me. Keep him.
