Would you have a relationship with your childhood friend?

Despite living in the same town, my wife and I met in high school, she had been held back a couple of years.

We often hung out at her house and we would play Yu-Gi-Oh together (and she always won), watch anime and YouTube or play videogames together, although most of the time I preferred to watch her play on her own.

In those years nothing happened between us, also because she's four years older than me and although now it's a non issue, when you are young that's a big age gap.

It's funny that now we do almost all the things we did back then - we play cards (Classic card games though), watch TV series together and sometimes I watch her play videogames.

I used to really like my one childhood friend, we did lots of things together like video games, watching horror films, sleeping at each others houses, cooking together, sharing lunches in high school. Sadly he was a massive whore so I friend zoned him early on hoping we would stay close but eventually we both moved out of town in our early 20's, we stayed in contact on FB but eventually lost all contact once he went through a divorce/depression. I suppose I regret not dating him when we were younger but it was probably for the best, since I only have positive memories of him now.

I have had only a few relationships and this has happened once. We were friends as children and we reconnected after years. But then again we were never truly friends since we were not a part of each other's life for a while before we reconnected. It was never the same as it was with my guy friends. Also we kinda always sort of had a thing for each other.
