How do I distract myself when my boyfriend isn't texting me for sorta understandable reasons?

My boyfriend (21) has flown out of town halfway accross the world to see his family. He is in a small town where he doesn't have much access to wifi, he told me he is waiting for his parents to have it installed and his data plan is limited. I understand he is busy because he is seeing his family after 5 years and only called me for a minute yesterday to see my face and he missed me and then went back to help his mom. Its only been a day since he landed. His parents dont know about me and are rather conservative so we can't talk that openly for now. Im the kind of person who goes out of the way to text someone so him not going out of his way and taking forever to text me and not reading through texts properly is pissing me off. It is also 6 months since we started dating today and i take these small things seriously while he doesn't see it as a huge huge deal. and i dont even know what to tell him for now since he asked me to wait 2-3 days till the internet is sorted out.

If i tell my mom im overthinking this she will get mad because she knows im pouring too much of myself and letting my people pleaser in type stuff. Which she is right but i dont know how to distract myself right now from it.

His parents snoopin his phone and made him remove his password and now i suspect he deleted our chats and he stopped sharing locations which is pissing me off cause nor did he gimme a heads up. he told me to text him on another platform but no response even there after he texted back. Before you say i should have a life, yes im trying, hanging with friends, getting schoolwork in, but my anxiety is making me overthinkg A LOT. Today is our 6th month (a biggie for me and he hasn't said nthn)

Aww girl, I know it's tough when you're not hearing from your boo as much. But don't stress - find ways to keep yourself occupied! Here's some ideas:

- Hit up your gal pals and go do something fun like the mall, movies or a hobby you all enjoy. Quality girl time is always a mood booster.

- Throw on some make-up tutorials or your fave show/movie on Netflix. Retail therapy always makes me feel better too hehe.

- Go for a walk outside and get some fresh air. Bonus points if there's cute doggos around to pet! Nature is so calming.

- Do a little online shopping - browse for a cute new outfit to wear when you see him next. Retail therapy always makes me feel better too hehe.

- Try a new recipe in the kitchen. Baking/cooking can be really relaxing and you get a tasty treat after!

- Journal about how you're feeling. Sometimes it helps to just get thoughts out on paper.

Just remember this phase will pass - don't doubt how he feels. Stay positive sis! His lack of texts doesn't define your self-worth. You've got this <3

learn to fold paper cranes then put them in a jar each day… by the time he returns, give him the jars of paper cranes.
draw/paint a beautiful picture of flowers. Sunset, landscape. Give it to him when he returns.

I understand you are trying to be a good girlfriend but very hard especially since you just started dating and missing him.

Watch a movie, try a new outfit/makeup look, try a new recipe, work out, stroll around new places, shopping, hangout with friends/family.

@Booklover_90 im trying to do that right now but i keep getting anxious over the lack of communication. like im having to wait for hours because he's half way accross the world. Either we would check in every 2-4 hours.

@Booklover_90 not really. we had a huge fight which we made up for and the same weekend he had to fly out. He was at my place the week of the fight and we were ok. But now that he booked his tix and is now back home visiting family our communication really took a hit. First he was busy packing but still made time to sleep over and stay 2 days with me and then I went over to his the night before the flihjt but our texting was weird and he said he was busy packing so fair. He had to do a 3 week trip and pack within 4 days.
He flew 14hrs + 8hrs by road. The town he is in has no internet at home and he just got a data plan. He is seeing his family after 5 years so I get why the communication could be a little slow. He called me for 1 min just to check in and say that he missed me and his childhood friend was coming to see him and he had to run back to help his mom and told me to sleep. Even today we’ve barely texted and it’s our 6 month. His parents are tryna check his phone, asking him to remove his password (typical brown parents) and now he turned off his location and I’m suspecting he went to sleep cause he’s offline everywhere. He told me we will survive the long distance and come out stronger but if day 2 is like this then how will be survive nearly 21 days?

He did ask me to give him 2-3 days yesterday cause of internet issues and wanted me to wait for it to get resolved so we can talk regularly
