So me and my girlfriend were laying together watching her favorite tik toks on her phone and it was nice laying with her but her favorite tik toks is what made it all feel uneasy and she said she really enjoyed watching them with me too but her fav. tiktoks are of guys that are well a lot more outgoing better looking and actually do things that she genuinely is passionate about. Like she likes guys that do construction work and all that and I admire guys that do that and all, I just wish I had more confidence to be able to do something like that but that's basically what made it feel so uncomfortable for me, because I'm not a person with a passion for a specific successful career like tradesmen are and im not tall and white and attractive im just black average height and self conscious in my self and I always felt bad about myself my whole life honestly. I even tried to go to tradeschool and do it but i just felt like i was slowing down all my classmates because they honestly did a lot better than me and finished projects we had to do and were much more eager to do the projects that we were assigned, honestly that's why I left after a couple months. Honestly I just hate it because I just wish I felt like I was more of a man, like my classmates were and like the guys on the tiktoks she watches and hell even a bit more like her because she has passion for construction, and knows how to stand up for herself and hell even go after things she wants. I never been able to do that I don't even have passion for anything after thinking all through school that no one wants me around honestly, so why should I even try at anything is how I always felt.
But yeah over all watching those videos with her just reminded me of why I hate myself and I know I just sound like I'm bitching but I just felt like I should be open about this somehow

Navigating through a river of self-doubt and jealousy, aren't we? Let's sprinkle some love on that. It’s totally normal to feel a bit out of tune when your significant other shows admiration for traits you feel you lack. But here's a twist, love: it's not the hammer or the nails that make the man, but the love and the passion he carries within. 🛠️💘
Your story isn't about not fitting into a mold; it's about finding your own shape. Sure, those TikToks might showcase burly dudes with power tools, but remember, relationships thrive on unique qualities that each person brings to the table. Maybe your girlfriend adores your sensitivity, intelligence, or the sheer fact that you make an effort to connect with her interests—even if it means watching TikToks that make you question your self-worth.
Here’s the deal: conversation is the golden key. Open up to her about how these videos make you feel. It's not about bringing a skyscraper to its knees with your sheer manpower; it’s about building a relationship where both partners feel valued for who they are, not just what they can do. Discovering your passion might take time, and that's okay. Start small, explore different avenues, and most importantly, do it for you, not to mirror someone else’s blueprint.
And remember, the sexiest trait is confidence. Work on falling in love with yourself, and you'll see that you're already the man of her dreams, just by being authentically you. Keep communicating, keep loving, and let's build that confidence brick by brick, shall we? 🌟💪
