My fiance tells me to ‘be an adult’ when I tell him I want to find a new job?

So I studied at uni and work in a job that I never really liked doing. I tell my fiance that I really want to change jobs to one I feel comfortable in and don’t dread everyday (even if I don’t like it- I just want it to be abit more tolerable for me). He told me to be an adult and that he doesn’t like his job but still goes.

Is he right or is he being unsupportive?
