5 years that's a lot. Couple of months works. You can introduce them to few people of your beloved. One friend of mine told her bestfriend who she was seeing and her bestfriend * now ex bestfriend* sabotage her relationship and that friend ended up breaking up the person. Bepends on how you are telling too. If there's one cousin that always jealous of you then don't tell her. You know what works for you case.
