Can a person fix a broken girl/guy whom they love?

Just thoughts and perspectives of those who has come across this? Have you fallen in love with someone who has trauma in their life from past relationships or abuse that they come out broken? Can you fix someone you love? Or does the person have to do this them selves? I think its best to be there for them show them you care but don't give them everything. Its best to give them time to heal. What happens if you try to fix someone you love but does not see or feel about you in the same way?

You can open the door for them, but only they can themselves go through it.
You can support, be patient and walk beside them, but they must choose to want to get better, they must know for themselves that trying and keep keeping on is the way forward.

You can only do so much and they must learn to cope and learn to face themselves. If you do too much for them then they won't learn.
It can't be easy, if it is then either..

• It wasn't so bad, after all.
• They've held it in and it will come out later some other way, disguised.
• They've become dependant and didn't learn the right lessons.

You can be there for them, it's the love we all know. But you must also learn when to step back alittle and let them make their own mistakes aswell as take those consequences. It's the love we show those who needs to grow.
