My dad's mate left his 46 year old wife for a 23 year old. It really had an impact on her. Same when pique cheated on Shakira with a young gal, she went ballistic.

Anyone that is cheated on , is going to feel jealous and hurt that their partner left them for someone else. It’s betrayal , when you give your heart to someone , you are hoping they give you their heart the same in return , no matter what happens? , you are trusting them the same you hope they are trusting you. Anyone that cheats is a selfish person , that only cares about themselves , they don’t care about anyone but themselves. So he cheated because something was missing in his relationship with her , instead of trying to fix what was broken between them? He chose to sleep with someone else , making him a selfish POS , unless he adressed his concerns to his wife or girlfriend first , if he didn’t do that , he is a POS , if he did address his concerns than , I’m sorry his partner is the POS , by not listening or compromising with his needs or wants. Everyone cheats one way or another , you can sugarcoat it all you want , but we are all cheaters

Of course. Why wouldn't they feel jealous? It wouldn't be any different if they left for a woman the same age or older.

They had a clandestine relationship, and then left right under their nose. It is an act of betrayal. Hate, discontent, jealousy, seeking revenge. Those are normal emotions for a man or woman to feel when they're cheated on and left in an exclusive relationship.

Yes. Because whether a woman will admit to it or not all woman know at least in the back of their mind their age has a large bearing on their overall physical attractiveness. And society drills it into a woman's head from a young age that a lot of her value is derived from her overall physical attractiveness.

So a woman who has "aged out", knows she's 💩 out of luck in a situation like this. This is why you'll see older women reach a "slut phase". Because they know when they can't compete in attractiveness they have to change the rules a little bit to try to stay competitive. Of course this is a double edged sword. Because to decent guy a slut is a turn off. This is typically why you only see the slut phase from the lower quality women. Because even though everything I've said is true and accurate a quality women overcomes this simplified societal view and KNOWS her value is more than her physical attractiveness.

Cheating is unacceptable and infuriating, regardless of whether you're a man or woman, and just goes to show you what sort of a pathetic human being they are that they had to resort to doing something so low, which is one thing I don't understand with people.

If you're having problems in your relationship, why don't you just TALK IT OUT instead of going looking for love at other places? Maybe your dad's mate's wife should consider filing for a divorce.

I would think betrayal would be the dominant emotion. If that 46 yo wife had been married for say 20 years she would be entitled to feel that.

I don't think gender would make much difference in this if you learnt that someone you had spent 20 years with did not in fact give a shit about you. It completely invalidates your life.

Men decide if the 80% good in a relationship is worth the 20% bad and take the 80% and deal with the 20%. Women take the 80% and go to work on the 20%. The result is women fall into the trap if thinking they have made a bad choice when they can’t change their guy and then they break them. The man is dealing with 20% and the woman wants perfect. That is why marriages fall apart. Then the guys go for the younger girl because they, at least and hope to get a few good years.
