Do you believe that if you cheat, you shouldn't be surprised when you're cheated on by the same person?

Do you believe that if someone started a relationship by knowingly cheating with that person, and they are later cheated on by that same person, they shouldn't be surprised, or should the expectation be that once it's a relationship they've established together, any cheating that happens is still wrong?

Personally I think its nuts for people who enter into a relationship that started with cheating to expect the other person not to cheat on them. I mean, how can you be holier than thou at that point? If you walk in and there he or she is with someone else in your bed---you should just back up and say, well, should have seen it coming.

That’s why people shouldn’t cheat period , but sadly it happens more than we like to think it does. Why it’s important to focus on yourself and treat people the way you want to be treated , we can’t stop anyone from cheating on us , but you can choose not to cheat on anyone yourself. If someone cheats on you? Don’t give them another chance , understand it’s over completely, as much as it hurts to lose someone you loved and cared about , they didn’t love and care about you , if they are cheating on you. So just move on and put them behind you , if you end up cheating on them? end it with them , you answered your own question that you truly don’t love and care about them by you cheating on them period. Cheating is something I have experienced and witnessed. on both sides of the spectrum in my lifetime for a lot of years to the point I know I can’t stop someone from cheating on me , if they choose to cheat on me , I just pray they give me the dignity and respect to end it with me and not string me along for their selfish benefit. I cheated on a girl when I was younger and at that moment I realized I didn’t love her or care about her by me cheating on her , so I ended it with her , because I couldn’t look her in the face and tell I her I loved her without feeling like i was a selfish liar , because I knew what I did was wrong , Even though she wanted to give me another chance , I told her No , that she deserves better , on top of that I also felt she would eventually cheat on me to get revenge if I went back to her . so whether she would of cheated on me or not , I still couldn’t feel at peace with myself knowing I did that to her. So at that moment I knew to never cheat on anyone again , if I am unhappy in a relationship, I just end it with them , it’s not worth destroying someone’s heart , if you want to sleep around? Just stay single and look for casual sex. FWB’s it’s better to go that route instead of fucking with someone’s’ heart

It's really a case by case thing, but rule of thumb is they're a cheater and they're going to cheat... even if they switch to cheating on you and not with you on another.

The person not going to cheat on you is 'actually' leaving a horrific situation. Like a sexless marriage or massive abuse. The others probably don't give a shit about their other until it matters (like getting caught) or until you threaten to expose them... they don't care if YOU leave though. They got what they wanted.

I simply can judge all cheaters under the same laws. Some deserve to cheat. Others are just being greedy.

Don't be surprised, but don't ignore it or think it's okay. If i cheated i wouldn't expect my husband to stay with me, and vice versa (and we have children). Repetitive revenge cheating is just a vicious cycle that you'd be entering into and it can turn into a hateful hurtful habit and completely destroy your relationship. In my opinion once any cheating happens your relationship is most likely doomed. Id just get out before anybody further gets hurt and deal with it from there if you have children or property together etc.

I just don’t think a cheater should be surprised if they ever got cheated on in the current relationship or the next. If they’re a habitual cheater they need therapy but shouldn’t be wondering what happened if they got played. Karma is a real thing and if you live by the sword die by it as well.

I can't find any reason or justification for cheating on my girlfriend. So I know that it won't happen. However, if someone has already cheated, they can justify it already and find it easier to do it again
