Why my boyfriend doesn’t take pictures of me?

I often find myself capturing moments when my boyfriend looks really happy and adorable, and I love savoring those moments with a quick snapshot. But I sometimes wonder if he feels the same way about me. He never takes random pictures of me unless I ask him to, and that makes me feel a bit sad. It makes me question whether he sees me as beautiful, because when most people see something beautiful, their first instinct is to capture it and hold on to that moment.
When I asked him why he doesn’t take spontaneous photos of me, he said he prefers to enjoy the moment instead. While I try to believe that, I can’t help but overthink it. I start feeling like the real reason might be that he doesn’t think I look good in pictures, and that’s why he doesn’t just instinctively want to capture me. Some people like taking pictures and some don’t , some of my ex girlfriends’ hated that I took pictures of her cuz she would complain and say she doesn’t look good and Tell me to delete the picture. But other girls’ I have dated loved me taking pictures of her. Personally I'm not a fan of taking pictures so its not something i'd naturally do either. Now if I knew she'd love it if I did i'd make a whole collection haha. I just don't think taking a picture is natural instinct, I can see why it seems that way for people used to always taking pictures but people like me who almost never take pictures of anything wouldn't instinctively go there.

To put it in perspective, I used to be in a long distance relationship and we finally met in person. I have only 3 kinda forced pictures of ourselves. Neither of us really felt the need but we had to because it would be evidence we are a couple and would allow us to travel easier during lockdowns. Had that not been a requirement I don't think we'd have many pictures of us in general since we were so in the moment we didn't really think of it. The 3 pics were all taken on the last day under the "Oops we still need some pics" guise.
