I love and I mean LOVE to cook (I have way too many cookbooks and a recipe playlist on YouTube) so I would handle the cooking unless I'm like really really sick.

Cleaning we can split it, like while I wash dishes or tidy the kitchen he can load of the washer and tidy the living room

I believe in separate bank accounts, not really a fan on joint accounts. He has his account with his money and I have my own account with my money

I believe in teamwork and it can lead to less fighting honestly in my opinion

Better? , no not in my opinion. Couples decide how or if things need to be split in any way. Whats good or best for one couple need not work for another. Work patterns could decide what gets done by whom and so could personal preference or aptitude but as things evolve in a relationship then so should how , when and by whom things get done. What remains constant however is that as a couple you communicate and manage it ‘together’ as a team.

I would definitely say keep the finances separate.

Have an account that you both put in more than enough to cover the monthly bills.

Figure them out, and add 15% more just in case you get a higher utility bill etc.

The rest is yours to do with as you please, as long as you put in your half every month.

The only reasons I even find marriage useful is because some countries or cultures may prohibit non married couples you know from travelling abroad blah blah or travelling in their country unmarried la la la blah blah
