At least if you see something with your own eyes, it makes sense to believe it. They are doing the action at that moment.

But words? Anyone can use words to deceive others too. I've seen the Spanish version with subtitles and it's the same thing. The girl that got cheated on or left for the other woman always said ''But you SAID you loved me, you always told me you would never leave me, you said, etc.''

Honestly it makes me laugh. So basically someone tells me ''I love you'' and that's enough to love him and think he's the love of my life? LOL. Personally this seems like a rookie scam. Someone trying that on me, I'll be him a D for trying and failing so miserably. I'm going to believe just because he said so? LOL.

I think it's not the words literally, but the validation behind them. I mean, women build friendships with each other by validating each other (sometimes to excessively toxic amounts). So the validation is your currency.
