If a man says let’s live in the moment, and see where it goes about our relationship, does that mean he doesn’t want to commit long term?

My boyfriend and I have been together 5 months. Overall I think we have a good relationship. Pretty good communication. We have established we love each other and he considers me his family. We live an hour apart so we only see each other weekends. We have agreed we live in the present and see where it goes. I agreed with this at first but now it upsets me when he says that cause I worry in the back of his mind he would be able to just let me go and get back to living his life. He’s not sure if he wants marriage or kids, neither am I, but I know I don’t want him going anywhere anytime soon. I worry when he says about not worrying the future that’s because he doesn’t necessarily see me in it. I don’t wanna ask specifically because I am scared of the answer
