Could you survive a zombie apocalypse with your partner?

This is what my wife and I have been doing this weekend... kind of.

My wife got me this computer game, Project Zomboid, and we have been playing together. It's quite interesting, you have to find food, water and shelter and when the electricity and waterworks get shut off you have to grow your own food and farm. And of course, avoid the zombies.

She's teaching me and is very patient even when I make mistakes (I smashed a window and got the whole neighborhood chasing us), and I think that although I'm not very good at the game, we make a good team especially when I follow her instructions.

As of now we are doing well, she's the one killing most of the zombies while my character carries the brunt of the stuff and repairs her gear. We keep back to back as to not get jumped.

I thought we'd need to do shifts to sleep and make our characters rest, but our hideout is the second floor of a house and if we don't make noise no one bothers us there.

Last night she got bitten while we were looking for supplies. We said our tearful goodbyes before she died and turned into a zombie the next day, and I had to put her down.

Then she made a new character and rejoined me. Jokes aside, it was really fun.

Probably not. We live in a city and trying to escape - we'd probably die in the attempt as it'd be a major traffic jam.

We could probably stay in our house huddles up and might last a week if it's just a rouge zombie or two, but normally it's like 20 descending at once, and we'd surely die since we have no guns, only kitchen knives to defend ourselves. Realistically we could sprint maybe a quarter mile if our lives depended on it, but that's not very far in zombie apocalypse lol.

I think so because he's really smart and I'm a really fast runner so he'd probably make different things that could help us survive and I think I'd help us get away from the zombies

Probably, but there is a reason zombie games don't have prepared characters. It would make the game too easyand boring. If you started out with more than 10 firearms and tens of thousands of rounds of ammo, plus months worth of food, medical supplies, a portable solar panel with rechargeable batteries, bladed weapons, emergency grow seeds, a dog to alert you to others presence, etc. You wouldn't even need to explore or scavenge.

No, we would not. Because I don't want to live through a zombie apocalypse in the first place as it would probably be miserable, so id go overdose on a yacht like Rockstar or something in the first hours of the outbreak.

It’s difficult to tell since they don’t exist. lol I don’t think there’s even a universally accepted way to kill a zombie. Sometimes some of them don’t even have heads when they come up!
