Is it wrong that my cab was talking on the phone while driving and I tipped him?

I've been taking cabs a lot lately, and there is a guy who regularly drives me. As he was driving, he got two calls, so he was talking while driving. I still tipped him $5 just because I didn't want it to be awkward because chances are he will drive me again. I'm afraid that he will think talking on the phone while driving is okay.

If it's legal in his state/city, I don't understand what the problem is. Was it a business call or a personal call? Does your complaint have to do more with the fact that you thought it was assholish, or that you thought it was a safety issue. Surely he's a professional and knows what he's doing, but I have seen cabbies drive very recklessly as well

If he has accident and kills you or someone else. I don't think I would very happy about it. At the end of the day they have your life in their hands.

Mobile phones do distract from driving, and people have killed by doing this.

Why isn't it okay?
I've had plenty of taxis and ubers who chat in the phone while driving me. Sometimes *shock*😮 in Another language! And I don't care at all. I don't want to talk to them. I'd rather sit in silence, or listen to my own music.
